Helloooo, neighbors! Welcome, everyone, to We're Still Here. Officially, the game doesn't open until December 1st, but we still wanted to give you guys a chance to get to know one another. Feel free to use this post to introduce yourself, share your contact info if you so desire, and mingle with your new neighbors before the real fun begins in a few days. We, as mods, would also like to use this space to address a few points about what to expect in December as well as how our next application round is going to pan out. Firstly, We're Still Here's first month is going to be a plot-heavy month. December is a crazy time for all of us, and we realize that not everyone will have the time to devote to roleplay, so we've decided to make the event a low stakes one and split it up into two halves with the first part beginning the day the game opens and running until the 15th, and the next half picking up right after that and running until the 25th. An announcement and plotting post will be going up in a few days. At the end of the month, we'll post a recap for the event that will also function as a public discussion where you can ask questions and provide the mod team with feedback. Secondly, since December will be a plot-heavy month with January being a relaxed month, this means that January will be our next application round. Not including potential drops, we will have seven slots available for new players. We will post a reminder announcement on the mod plurk as the date draws closer. Additionally, we will also be posting a new TDM in January for the new application round. For exact times on all of these dates, please refer to our calendar. And that's all! Hello! My name is Mel, and I'm bringing Sans from Undertale to the game! Normally, Sans is a short, round skeleton, but for a while here, he's going to be a short, round human! He doesn't like it, but he is not going to tell anyone he wasn't a human before at least for now. Sans's canon point is the exiled queen neutral Undertale ending, with Undyne and Papyrus both alive.

Sans is generally outgoing, albeit in a chill way, and loves telling bad jokes and hanging out at the bar. He'll be doing a lot of that. He really wants to figure out what's going on and how to get home, but Sans is kind of in an "I can't do anything to impact anything" place right now so it'll take him some time to warm up.

I am fine with making any of Sans's TDM posts canon! Sans will not bring these up with the characters unless they do first, however, because he is going to be working under the assumptions of his canon that October was some weird messed up reset or reload that he inexplicably remembers a lot of and nobody is even going to know what he's talking about. But once people show they remember he'll be happy to pick things up wherever they got left off!

hello all, my name is lauren and i'm tossing in vasiliy. blatantly ripping from my blurb on the TDM here, he's a former stalin-era soviet interrogator - not the kind that administered torture, but the kind that convinced people that signing fabricated confessions that would get them killed/sent to the gulag was in their best interest - who woke up in the middle of nowhere 75 years after his 1940 execution. in the timeline i'm pulling him from, he's been in america for about a year, and is trying to be a better person while working as an EMT.

vasiliy's generally very reserved and untrusting to a degree that borders on paranoia, but he's remarkably selfless and is willing to endanger himself for the sake of others' wellbeing despite barely knowing them. he's the son of two first-wave bolsheviks and is still a fervent communist, just not necessarily a stalinist any more, so he's going to be going through some very severe cultureshock and generally just crawling out of his skin living in a time of unprecedented materialism/anticommunism/anti-soviet sentiment. he's also trying to keep a major secret under wraps here in the interest of his own life while internally being like


every time a townie is rude to him.

vasya grew up in severe poverty that was typical for most of the urban youth of st. petersburg in the 1910s, so he has a lot of difficulty relating to modern kids because they're essentially from a different universe than his own. and then there's the whole fact that he spent the first 30 years of his life in a culture that didn't truly have the concept of teenagers as we understand them, so no matter how things fall, i'm excited to have him in a situation where he's routinely interacting with people much younger than himself with like no idea of how to really properly do that. and ofc being forced to reside with a strange woman also has the potential to be very funny.

i work an 8-5 monday thru friday and i live on the east coast of the US, so most of my tags are on the weekends or state holidays. i prefer to plot over discord (grinchhands mcgee#7599) but i'm also available on plurk (bluehellgazette). yoinks this got lengthy but you guys get the idea!

Hey y'all!! I'm gabbie, bringing in Ray Gillette from FX's Archer, which if you're unfamiliar, is an animated sitcom in the vein of the Venture Bros. meets Mad Men... but with spies.



Ray's generally a pleasant and effete sort of dude, with a diverse range of skills and a weakness for cigarettes, cake, and glamour, though also fairly prone to cattiness and sarcasm because look, his life is really hard and annoying, you guys. In canon he's paralyzed from the waist down but has full mobility thanks to bionic implants in his legs/lower body, and also sports a bionic prosthetic hand to replace his own severed one, but here in WSH he'll be wearing a model period-appropriate model and walking with a cane(/leg braces on occasion). This clip provides a fairly solid rundown on him as a character (cw for cartoon violence and some bigoted language)... but on that note! Archer is show full of problematique™ characters and sensitive/offensive themes, so I do also have a handy-dandy permissions/opt-out post here.

My name is Abi and I'm bringing you Christopher Wolfe from The Great Library series, a very grumpy and bitter librarian Research Scholar from an AU Earth where the Library of Alexandria never burned. Interestingly, with the way information is hoarded and disseminated in his world, Santa Rosita is a lot more advanced technology-wise, even though he's coming from 2025! Wolfe is very terse and sharp-tongued even at the best of times, but please don't let that keep you from bothering him; he needs people more than he wants to admit.

As a heads up his backstory is not a pleasant one and does include some hard topics (captivity and torture being the biggest ones). While it's very unlikely that he'll bring them up, do let me know if there's anything I should steer clear of!

She's got a convoluted story, but the short version is she was a therapist, then got possessed by a demon, almost ended the world, got stopped, and is still kind of a potential world ender, whoops. Still, she's friendly enough, and getting to know her almost definitely comes with way less chance of things ending badly than it does back home! So that's a plus! Probably!

Definitely looking forward to dealing with her adjusting to not having her weird powerset and the technology being about a good 60 years older than what she's used to. Should be fun!

While Castiel is a wavelength of celestial intent that has existed since before matter (yes, he's older than dirt), he is wearing some devout tax accountant's body as a vessel. He's a soldier who learned to love humanity, even though he is constantly exasperated by it. Last thing he knew, he died and was so determined to stop being dead that he annoyed an eldritch entity into kicking him out of the angel afterlife - except instead of going to the afterlife, he ends up, well.... here.

And she's also coming from after the series finale so spoilers are likely, but the gist is that she's been through.... some pretty traumatizing stuff (as disney is one to do). But she's good now! It's fine. She's stronger than she's ever been before, and making the most of her life!

At least, she was before turning up in 1950s suburbia.

Hiya all, I'm Swirl and I'm bringing THE GREAT PAPYRUS from Undertale, your favorite game of petting dogs and dating skeletons. He's coming from the same timeline as his brother (to the relief of them both), which means he's been training under the exiled queen to be a great mom. It'll surely help him to be a great dad to random human teenagers, somehow.

Papyrus is very loudly very cool, in a way that is definitely not covering insecurities, doubts, or loneliness - or the stress of living trapped within a mountain, with no prospects for sunlight or escape from the occasional roaming murderous human. He's happy to tell you so, in surprisingly practiced detail, and happier still to drop the matter and just emphasize his coolness, or narrate the shenanigans as he and his brother collaborate and/or compete in pranks. Smiling and making the best of things: it's the Snowdin way.


Either way, he dresses as coolly as you'd expect somebody who sometimes speaks in the third person to dress, with sunglasses any time of day, and either a costume or the... uh... hottest of fashions on display. As a human in Santa Rosita he'll be adapting more to the styles of the people he sees around town, and best of all he now has hair to style, and will be doing so with a gusto. See: icon.

I'd love for his various TDM threads to be canon, at least in the sense of characters remembering them - even with the conflicting realities of who lived where or did what on Halloween. I'm planning for him to only really remember these highlights through the month, so that the whole thing will be dreamlike, and being human thing will be fresh for him to experience with the game's proper beginning.

My name is Owl, and I'll be bringing with me Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled! JUST IN TIME FOR THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY, HELL YEAH. Rapunzel is a (almost quite literally) sunny princess who likes art, making friends, and not being trapped. Because, you know, that was a thing for most of her life. Trapped in a tower with a weird old lady who made her sing to keep her young. But she's past that! Far past that, actually. Rapunzel will be coming into this crazy town after the events of the series finale, after diving deep into the source of her magic and fighting a weird goat-squid demon who tried to use that magic to destroy her kingdom.

Yeah. The sequel series kind of goes off, but Rapunzel learned a lot about herself and others and has made great progress in moving past the events of her childhood. She's got one hell of a determined spirit, so it'll be interesting to see if this town has enough to break her or not. Also; since she's coming in post-canon, her hair is short and brown, even though I'll still be using some icons from when her hair was still blonde!

To sum him up: Local Black Dragon Solves Reputation Problem By Murdering Family, Releasing War Criminal, Changing The Subject To Eldritch Beings We Should Fight Instead Of Being Angry At Him!

Wrathion is a recurring figure in Warcraft who has helpful voice lines like 'do you trust me, champion?'

The answer is that you probably shouldn't! He can get terrible tunnel vision, be horribly self-absorbed, doesn't always understand the nuance of how people react to him and throws himself into spicy danger whimsically. He's made one big enough mistake to have learned the hard lesson of 'I'm not always right' but he's still fairly arrogant and liable to assume he's is. Overall, he tends to want to do things for the Greater Good but he's bad at explaining and working with others.

He has great hair! It's full of secrets. Unfortunately here he cannot shapeshift into his natural black dragon shape, but even if he could he probably wouldn't offer you a lift. You need Exalted Reputation for that privilege!



He likes sharp things! Since he's forced to be a regular person here, his eyes won't have the fancy red glow anymore. Do note there is some content-warning stuff in his background -- it isn't likely to come up in truth but drop me a line if you need me to make sure to avoid it for you!
