Helloooo, neighbors! Welcome, everyone, to We're Still Here. Officially, the game doesn't open until December 1st, but we still wanted to give you guys a chance to get to know one another. Feel free to use this post to introduce yourself, share your contact info if you so desire, and mingle with your new neighbors before the real fun begins in a few days. We, as mods, would also like to use this space to address a few points about what to expect in December as well as how our next application round is going to pan out. Firstly, We're Still Here's first month is going to be a plot-heavy month. December is a crazy time for all of us, and we realize that not everyone will have the time to devote to roleplay, so we've decided to make the event a low stakes one and split it up into two halves with the first part beginning the day the game opens and running until the 15th, and the next half picking up right after that and running until the 25th. An announcement and plotting post will be going up in a few days. At the end of the month, we'll post a recap for the event that will also function as a public discussion where you can ask questions and provide the mod team with feedback. Secondly, since December will be a plot-heavy month with January being a relaxed month, this means that January will be our next application round. Not including potential drops, we will have seven slots available for new players. We will post a reminder announcement on the mod plurk as the date draws closer. Additionally, we will also be posting a new TDM in January for the new application round. For exact times on all of these dates, please refer to our calendar. And that's all! Break out your best gifs and get to mingling!

honestly he DOES need fashion advice of an ex skeleton who is still figuring out hair himself. any improvement would be so welcome, as peter's abhorrent lack of style is truly something that pains me personally.

i'm not saying papyrus has great style. but the fact that he has some at all still makes him qualified to give advice.

It's hard to describe this as GREAT style but there is definitely an aesthetic happening

enthusiasm is important, ok. and peter is canonically quite motivated by speeches. papyrus hit a goldmine here

If nothing else, they can start with Coolness Easy Mode: sunglasses. Pro fashion tip, the more sunglasses you wear, the cooler you are.

i know we were just ragging on poor papyrus but i gotta be straight with you: that's excellent advice and he's totally right. sunglasses instantly make people cooler, just ask crowley.

It is, I agree that far: one pair absolutely increases coolness levels. The part where Papyrus goes awry is taping cardboard cutouts of muscular arms to his visibly skeletal physique, and then putting sunglasses on them, as though the coolness increase will go up with each pair of sunglasses. They could do science to test, but as a layperson, I'm pretty sure coolness doesn't work that way.

Honestly, high key excited to see how Peter does with Dean (bit of a disaster but okay hair) and Leonardo (inventor!) for housemates.

Papyrus is on another street, but they're bound to interact sooner or later.

Science doesn't know everything. If your guns are sexy enough they deserve sunglasses. I feel like that tracks.

I am also excited to see this disaster in motion. His not dad has pretty good hair and his not mom is super hot, he for sure will feel like the ugly duckling in this family. He needs this skeleton man and his questionable fashion advice more than ever.

Okay but probably cardboard sunglasses are hard to come by and you already put so much work into the arms! Real sunglasses would be avant-garde, right?

especially when neurotic insecurity is practically one of his superpowers. papyrus is the hero he needs, though maybe not the one he deserves.

The jury is out whether Papyrus's understanding of "avant-garde" has any relation to how it's usually used, but he can't argue with that reasoning. Real sunglasses on cardboard muscles, sold.

Fortunately for them all, the Gala will provide the extra push to Fashion that just might drive him to accosting random teenagers in the street with his advice.
