WELCOME TO WE'RE STILL HERE

We're in the mood for fresh meat.

Helloooo, neighbors! Welcome, everyone, to We're Still Here. Officially, the game doesn't open until December 1st, but we still wanted to give you guys a chance to get to know one another. Feel free to use this post to introduce yourself, share your contact info if you so desire, and mingle with your new neighbors before the real fun begins in a few days. We, as mods, would also like to use this space to address a few points about what to expect in December as well as how our next application round is going to pan out.

Firstly, We're Still Here's first month is going to be a plot-heavy month. December is a crazy time for all of us, and we realize that not everyone will have the time to devote to roleplay, so we've decided to make the event a low stakes one and split it up into two halves with the first part beginning the day the game opens and running until the 15th, and the next half picking up right after that and running until the 25th. An announcement and plotting post will be going up in a few days. At the end of the month, we'll post a recap for the event that will also function as a public discussion where you can ask questions and provide the mod team with feedback.

Secondly, since December will be a plot-heavy month with January being a relaxed month, this means that January will be our next application round. Not including potential drops, we will have seven slots available for new players. We will post a reminder announcement on the mod plurk as the date draws closer. Additionally, we will also be posting a new TDM in January for the new application round. For exact times on all of these dates, please refer to our calendar.

Hi everyone! I'm Melly (GMT +8, brackets preferred but will match my partner) and I'll be bringing in my original character, Daylight vis Lornlit.

Daylight is from a sci-fi setting set in the 2100s, where one of the key events of this universe is an intergalactic civil war that spanned for centuries and across planets between his father's species. He has strong ties to the war thanks to his parents and has a Lot of Plot Stuff going down in his background but Day has learned to take it all in stride after having some Panics and Pains over it.

He's bright, cheerful, and always up for some adventures if there's a promise to it. He tries his best in whatever he does and he believes in his friends no matter what, though his experience over the last few years has tempered him to be a bit more level-headed and sensible. This situation he finds himself in is a big ?????? moment but! He'll do his best to work along with the others and figure out the mystery + hopefully get back home in one piece.

They'll find a way to make this work. They've been through so much weirdness in their canon.

She's such a blast to thread against and I hope I get more chances to play against her in the game!! I loved reading the little tidbits in your tags from her world because I am, admittedly, very canon-blind to FGO besides what I think are the basics(?) so it's a delight to see things from her perspective.

Daylight is WEIRDLY USED to inebriated and/or disastrous individuals in his life so it's good! He is absolutely going to make sure Archer doesn't, like, die in some uncool way.

AND YESSSS. MTMTE/LL and Ex-RID were so good!! I'm reading the current series right now and while it's a slow burner, it's really in-depth with worldbuilding and setting up the world that's going to be destroyed. If you don't have time for the entire series, definitely check out Galaxies! It's set in isolated arcs of specific characters/plots so I feel like that's a lot easier to jump into and not worry about canon ties.

Though I am sad that, so far, there is no Roddy. I am still! Torn up!! About his finale ending in the main universe!!! ~~And I still think about the carving because oh the implications and missed plotlines for him and others.~~
